Kaido Haagen is an Estonian photographer with over 30 years of experience behind the camera. His work centers around three themes: architecture, travel and the underwater world, revealing a unique balance between structure and nature.
A proud observer of his homeland, Kaido has captured Estonia’s architecture and coastal life in remarkable depth, while his travels have taken him far beyond the Baltic shores. His photographs stand out for their clarity, calmnessand mastery of light, whether depicting a city skyline or a submerged wreck. His work has been featured in major exhibitions such as Architecture Photo (Tallinn, Paris, Stockholm), Wet Eyes, and Railway(less) Stations, and published in books including The Story of Estonian Lighthouses and The Story of Estonian Windmills.
Kaido has received multiple distinctions, among them Estonian Nature Photo of the Year and IUCN Oceans Photographer of the Year.
