Michael Belhadi

Michael Belhadi

A Berlin based photographer exploring urban spaces through geometry, structure, and precise composition.

Michael Belhadi

Michael Belhadi is a German photographer born in Paderborn and based in Berlin for over two decades. His interest in photography began during his alternative military service, where he documented surgical procedures for medical publications. This early experience shaped his disciplined, precise, and objective approach to image making.

His work focuses on urban spaces and geometric compositions, revealing unexpected perspectives within familiar environments. While Berlin remains central to his practice, his portfolio extends across cities in Europe and Asia.

Michael has exhibited his work at Galerie Johannisthal (2024–2025), Paderborner Fototage (2015), and Galerie Kwadrat Düsseldorf (2014). He received the Gregor Calendar Award in 2015 and the Deutscher Fotobuchpreis in 2019 for his photobook Aufschluss, published by Deutscher Kunstverlag in 2018.
