Lorenzo Linthout

Lorenzo Linthout

Italian photographer with a background in architecture. His work explores cities and urban spaces through a metaphysical lens, focusing on the relationship between architecture, human presence, and contemporary solitude.

Lorenzo Linthout

Lorenzo Linthout was born on May 29, 1974, in Verona, Italy, where he currently lives and works. He began taking photographs at the age of sixteen using a digital SLR. In 1999, he graduated from the Biagio Rossetti School of Architecture at the University of Ferrara, subsequently combining his academic background with his passion for photography.

His work focuses on architecture, cities, and street art, exploring the relationship between incommunicability and urban space, between human presence and architecture, and between the inexpressibility of reality and the solitude of the individual—themes he considers central to contemporary society. These concepts are conveyed through a metaphysical visual language.

He has published several photography books: Architectural Visions (February 2017), The Silent Cities (August 2018), Abandoned Places (September 2019), and Vertical Buildings (October 2020).

To date, he has received numerous national and international awards and, in recent years, has exhibited his work in over one hundred solo and group exhibitions.
