Italian Window Dressing

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

Against a vast expanse of sage green wall, an ornately framed Italian window commands attention with its carved pediment, half-drawn terracotta shutter and cool blue glass, while a tiny unadorned square opening floats quietly in the upper right corner. The contrast between baroque grandeur and understated simplicity gives this architectural detail from Italy a playful, almost humorous energy that feels both joyful and calm. Photographer Lorenzo Linthout transforms urban architecture into minimalist art, finding wit and color in the quiet poetry of a single sun-drenched facade.

Italian photographer with a background in architecture. His work explores cities and urban spaces through a metaphysical lens, focusing on the relationship between architecture, human presence, and contemporary solitude.
