Alpacas

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

A large herd of alpacas — their woolly coats ranging from cream and white to rich amber brown — grazes across a vivid wetland plain in the Peruvian highlands, where shallow streams wind between patches of brilliantly green grass under a wide open sky. The warm morning light catches the rust-colored slopes of a dramatic volcanic mountain in the background, creating a striking contrast of earthy tones and saturated greens that fills the scene with joyful color and life. Photographer Alexander Riek captures the untamed beauty of Peru's altiplano with an eye for both grandeur and intimacy, turning a fleeting moment of nature into a landscape portrait that is alive with energy and wonder.

Based in Germany, Alexander Riek is a photographer and animal scientist who travels globally. He captures the unique stories of destinations worldwide, focusing primarily on landscapes, architecture and wildlife.
