Ancient Landscape

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

A solitary tree stands at the crest of a green hill as golden evening light washes over the ancient volcanic peaks of the Glass House Mountains in Queensland, Australia. The vast sky shifts from soft blue to warm amber on the horizon, lending the landscape a mood of deep calm and silence that feels untouched by time. The distant mountains rise through a gentle haze, their layered silhouettes adding a quiet drama to an otherwise still and open scene. Photographer Pepijn Thijsse captures the soul of the Australian landscape with a patient eye, finding in this lone tree and fading light a sense of solitude that is both ancient and deeply alive.

Based in Australia, Pepijn Thijsse is an award-winning, self-taught photographer capturing fine art street scenes, architecture and nature. His work focuses on unique perspectives and human behavior, often wandering into backstreets to discover overlooked details.
