El Misti - Kollektion: Peru

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

At dusk, the volcanic cone of El Misti dominates the skyline above Arequipa, its rugged slopes bathed in a deep amber glow as the last light of day sets the mountain ablaze with warm reds and burnt oranges. Below, the city spreads across the valley in a constellation of golden lights, creating a striking contrast between the ancient and the inhabited. The vast Peruvian sky above is streaked with clouds touched by the fading sun, lending the scene a mood of calm silence and quiet grandeur. Photographer Alexander Riek captures this iconic Peruvian landscape with a masterful eye for light, revealing the raw and breathtaking relationship between nature and human life in the Andes.

Based in Germany, Alexander Riek is a photographer and animal scientist who travels globally. He captures the unique stories of destinations worldwide, focusing primarily on landscapes, architecture and wildlife.
