Empty Bench - Kollektion: Estland

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

A snow-covered bench and a solitary street lamp stand quietly before the pale plastered facade of a historic brick building somewhere in Estonia, the scene muffled in winter white and soft muted light. The careful symmetry of the windows and the gentle contrast between warm terracotta brick and cream-coloured plaster give this urban composition an almost painterly stillness. Every surface — the bench, the ground, the window ledges — carries an equal weight of snow, deepening the sense of calm and silence that defines this wintry architectural scene. Photographer Pepijn Thijsse captures Estonia in its most hushed and unhurried state, finding quiet poetry in empty spaces and the beauty of a world momentarily paused.

Based in Australia, Pepijn Thijsse is an award-winning, self-taught photographer capturing fine art street scenes, architecture and nature. His work focuses on unique perspectives and human behavior, often wandering into backstreets to discover overlooked details.
