Seaweed Harvesters

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

A lone figure moves across the vast rippled sandflats of the Tanzanian coast, carrying a heavy bundle of harvested seaweed balanced on her head, her silhouette set against a wide open sky of deep brilliant blue. The exposed tidal flats stretch endlessly toward the horizon, their ridged white sand catching the hard equatorial light and creating a quiet rhythm beneath her steady stride. This image captures the calm and silence of a traditional way of life lived in harmony with the sea, where the daily harvest is both labor and ritual. Photographer Beniamino Pisati frames this ancient culture and breathtaking natural landscape with an understated grace, revealing the dignity and endurance woven into everyday life in Tanzania.
