Simpson Desert - Kollektion: Australien

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

A leafless tree stands silhouetted against a glowing desert sky as a full moon rises in the quiet space between its bare branches, perfectly framed by nature's own composition. The warm amber and soft violet tones of twilight wash over the red sands and dry grasslands of the Simpson Desert, creating a landscape suspended between day and night. This is Australia at its most elemental — vast, still and breathtakingly calm. Photographer Alexander Riek captures the silent soul of the outback with a patience and sensitivity that transforms an ancient landscape into something deeply moving.

Based in Germany, Alexander Riek is a photographer and animal scientist who travels globally. He captures the unique stories of destinations worldwide, focusing primarily on landscapes, architecture and wildlife.
