Zebra Crossing

A Look measures 11 × 11 × 2.2 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a soft silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 12.6 × 12.6 × 2.2 cm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

Two zebras stand close together on a dry ridge in Tanzania, one looking straight into the camera while the other peers over its back. Their stripes overlap and almost merge into one shape against the bright white sky. Photographer Thijs Friederich captured this quiet moment of companionship, letting the graphic patterns of the animals speak for themselves.

Based in the Netherlands, Thijs Friederich is a landscape photographer capturing epic scenes through wide-angle, macro and drone photography. Focusing close to home and during international travel, he uses color and perfect timing to transform natural landscapes with dramatic light.
