The Platform
LooksOnLife is a curated platform that turns world-class photography into the Wrapped Look, a small, hand-finished fine-art object that lives in homes, offices and selected retail spaces across the world. Every Wrapped Look credits the photographer who made it. Every Wrapped Look is produced in our own Foto Lab in Amstelveen, by a small team, to the same standard.
We work with a small, deliberately selected roster of working photographers. We are not a print marketplace and we are not a stock library. We are a platform built around the photographers we choose to work with.
If our work interests you, we'd like to have a conversation.

What the Wrapped Look is
The Wrapped Look is a deliberately small format. A fine-art block, hand-finished, framed by a silicone Wrapp in one of sixteen colours. It is not a print, not a poster and not a sample of a larger work, it is its own format, designed specifically for this purpose.
We think of the Wrapped Look as the amuse-bouche of a photographer's work. A small, beautifully-made object that introduces a wider audience to their photography.
People who would otherwise never have encountered the photographer's practice meet it through a Wrapped Look on a sideboard, a shelf or a wall and a meaningful share of them go on to discover the photographer's larger work.
The Wrapped Look does not compete with the photographer's prints, exhibitions, books, or licensed projects. It serves the platform tier below all of those, where audiences are larger and the format is smaller.

Who we work with
We work with photographers who have spent years building a real body of work. Photographers whose images are made deliberately, in places they know, with a sensibility that holds together across a portfolio.
We aim for a balanced visual story per country, across styles landscape, street, portrait, architecture, the abstract and the human. The roster reflects that, and we add photographers whose work extends or deepens what we already have.
We ask for a minimum commitment of one year, extendable by agreement. Building real distribution takes time. A short-term arrangement doesn't allow either of us to do the work properly.
