Aegean Column

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

A weathered column capital rises against a vast blue sky scattered with billowing cumulus clouds, its ancient Ionic volute and fluted stone worn smooth by centuries of Greek sun and wind. The warm honey tones of the limestone glow against the deep azure backdrop, creating a mood of profound calm and silence that speaks to the enduring spirit of Aegean culture and tradition. Photographer Giannis Giannelos frames this quiet fragment of Greece with an eye for stillness, finding in a single broken stone the weight of an entire civilization reaching toward the heavens.

Born in Athens, Greece, Giannis Giannelos became a professional photographer at 18. Having published dozens of photo books spanning cultural heritage and advertising, his true passion remains capturing architecture, geometry and the emotional freedom of nature.
