From high above the rooftops of Gdańsk, this sweeping aerial view reveals the city's legendary Long Market in all its colorful glory — a mosaic of ornate Renaissance and Baroque facades in terracotta, gold, sage and cream stretching toward the Motława River. Late afternoon light warms the densely packed Old Town as dramatic clouds roll across a wide Baltic sky, lending the scene both grandeur and intimacy. Photographer Michael Abid captures Poland's most beautiful city with a masterful eye for color and scale, transforming an ancient urban landscape into something that feels at once vibrant and timeless.
Originally from Ukraine and based in Germany, Michael Abid became a professional photographer in 2013. He travels globally capturing striking cityscapes, landscapes and architecture. Using engineering precision, he beautifully transforms iconic locations through light.
