Down in The Dumps - Sand Wrapp
The Sand-Covered Church is located just south of the town Skagen in Denmark. Around year 1600, sand began drifting from a coastal dune. By the late 18th century, the church was so buried that the entrance had to be dug out for each service. The church was officially closed in 1795. After closure, most of the church was demolished, leaving only the tower.
