The calm blue sea mirrors the soft pink glow of dusk while a scattered sky of altocumulus clouds drifts overhead, lending the scene a quiet and meditative stillness. This landscape from the Greek island of Kythnos captures the raw and unhurried beauty of the Greek islands, where nature and history seem to breathe together in perfect silence. Photographer Giannis Giannelos brings an intimate and patient eye to Greece's natural world, finding extraordinary calm in the textures and light that others might simply pass by.
Born in Athens, Greece, Giannis Giannelos became a professional photographer at 18. Having published dozens of photo books spanning cultural heritage and advertising, his true passion remains capturing architecture, geometry and the emotional freedom of nature.
