Reading Paper

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

An elderly figure sits absorbed in a newspaper outside a weathered green wall in India, wrapped in pale cloth with a head covering pulled low against the morning sun. Dappled shadows from a nearby tree trace delicate patterns across the façade while warm light falls across the quiet street scene, lending it a mood of deep calm and stillness. The latticed iron gate and barred window frame the moment with an effortless geometry, rooting this small act of daily life in the textures and rhythms of Indian street life. Photographer Kaido Haagen finds the poetry in silence, capturing the unhurried dignity of an ordinary morning with a steady and compassionate eye.

Originally from Estonia, Kaido Haagen is a photographer with over 30 years of experience. He travels globally capturing architecture, travel landscapes and the underwater world. Featured in major exhibitions and books, his award-winning work stands out for its clarity and mastery of light.
