Nestled in the Val di Funes valley of northern Italy, the small cluster of Santa Magdalena Church and its surrounding alpine farmhouses glows warmly beneath a dramatic sky as jagged Dolomite peaks catch the last golden light of evening. Rolling green meadows stretch across the foreground where a small flock of sheep grazes in calm silence, while dense pine forests lead the eye upward toward the towering grey rock faces above.
