Perched on a slender pole rising from the dark coastal waters of Sri Lanka, a stilt fisherman casts his line into the stormy dusk with quiet determination, his silhouette alive with energy and motion. The dramatic black and white tones amplify the brooding sky and churning sea, while two more fishermen recede into the background like ancient sentinels of a vanishing tradition. This centuries-old cultural practice, unique to the southern shores of Sri Lanka, is rendered here with raw authenticity and cinematic power.
