From the rocky shores of Blouberg, South Africa, a long-exposure seascape unfolds in layers of cool teal water, mist-wrapped stones and the iconic silhouette of Table Mountain rising against a dramatic sunset sky. Warm amber light breaks through brooding storm clouds, casting a golden glow across the rugged foreground rocks while the city of Cape Town glimmers faintly along the distant shoreline. The slow movement of water around the weathered boulders creates an atmosphere of deep calm and silence, balancing raw natural power with quiet contemplation. Photographer Alexander Riek captures the majestic South African landscape with a masterful eye for light and mood, transforming a familiar view into something timeless and deeply still.

Alexander Riek is een in Duitsland gevestigde fotograaf en dierenwetenschapper die wereldwijd reist. Hij legt de unieke verhalen van bestemmingen over de hele wereld vast met een focus op landschappen, architectuur en wildlife.
