I came across this red beach umbrella at the start of a hike/photo shoot on Limantour Beach at Point Reyes. I loved the surprise of seeing a bright red watermelon umbrella contrasted against the natural beauty of Point Reyes. I wandered around until I found a spot where the umbrella was just visible above a dune, blocking the beach chairs. I placed the umbrella off center and framed the composition so the line of clouds in the sky echoed the curve of the sand dunes.
