Along the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, two camel handlers lead their decorated animals through shallow water with the white marble dome of the Taj Mahal rising majestically in the misty distance behind them. The warm amber and rose tones of early morning light wash over the scene as the reflections of man, beast and monument shimmer across the still water below. There is a quiet rhythm to the movement here, a sense of daily life flowing naturally in the shadow of one of the world's most iconic landmarks.
