Dutch Perseids

A Look measures 11 × 11 × 2.2 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a soft silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 12.6 × 12.6 × 2.2 cm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

The Milky Way rises above a traditional Dutch windmill while streaks of the Perseid meteor shower cross the summer night sky. A narrow ditch leads the eye through the grass toward the mill, dark against the glowing horizon. Photographer Thijs Friederich combines patient night photography with his love for the polder, revealing a side of the Netherlands few people see.

Based in the Netherlands, Thijs Friederich is a landscape photographer capturing epic scenes through wide-angle, macro and drone photography. Focusing close to home and during international travel, he uses color and perfect timing to transform natural landscapes with dramatic light.
