Photo description

From high above the wetlands of Greece, a sinuous tidal creek winds through a vast expanse of reed beds in warm earthy tones, its jade-green waters curving into the shape of a heart. Two small boats rest quietly at a wooden jetty where the channel widens, the only signs of human presence in an otherwise untouched and silent landscape. The calm stillness of the scene is absolute, the shallow water mirroring the muted colors of the surrounding marsh in a composition that feels both accidental and perfectly arranged. Photographer Giannis Giannelos captures the hidden geometry of the Greek natural world with a quiet and patient eye, finding tenderness in terrain most would never think to look down upon.
