Mission Beach

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

A solitary coconut palm leans gracefully over the golden sands of Mission Beach in tropical Queensland, its vivid green fronds silhouetted against a dramatic sunrise sky layered with soft blues, warm oranges and glowing cloud formations. The calm ocean stretches endlessly toward the horizon, reflecting the last rays of light in a scene of rare stillness and quiet beauty. This landscape captures the unhurried soul of Australia's coastline, where nature feels vast and untouched. Photographer Alexander Riek frames this moment with a poetic eye for solitude, drawing the viewer into a world where time slows and the earth breathes.

Based in Germany, Alexander Riek is a photographer and animal scientist who travels globally. He captures the unique stories of destinations worldwide, focusing primarily on landscapes, architecture and wildlife.
