A narrow cobblestone alley winds upward through the whitewashed architecture of Mykonos, flanked by a vivid parade of painted railings in bold green, red, blue and deep burgundy. The stark white walls amplify each burst of color, creating a joyful rhythm of light and geometry that feels both spontaneous and perfectly composed. This is the Greek island at its most intimate — not its famous windmills or sunsets, but the everyday beauty hidden in its labyrinthine streets. Photographer Giannis Giannelos finds poetry in the overlooked corners of Greece, turning a simple alleyway into a celebration of color and life.
Born in Athens, Greece, Giannis Giannelos became a professional photographer at 18. Having published dozens of photo books spanning cultural heritage and advertising, his true passion remains capturing architecture, geometry and the emotional freedom of nature.
