As twilight settles over the Amalfi Coast, the village of Atrani glows with warm golden light against dramatic limestone cliffs that plunge straight into the calm blue waters below. Colorful facades of white and terracotta stack upward along the rocky shoreline while ancient stone arches reflect their amber light in the still sea. The surrounding mountains fade into a soft dusk sky, lending the scene a quiet, cinematic intimacy that feels both timeless and alive. Photographer Michael Abid captures this magical corner of southern Italy with a masterful eye for light and atmosphere, transforming a fleeting evening moment into something that lingers long after you look away.
Originally from Ukraine and based in Germany, Michael Abid became a professional photographer in 2013. He travels globally capturing striking cityscapes, landscapes and architecture. Using engineering precision, he beautifully transforms iconic locations through light.
