Snaefellsnes

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

A solitary white church with a vivid red roof and steeple stands on a small grassy rise against the vast and rugged landscape of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in Iceland, its quiet presence dwarfed by the sweeping volcanic mountains behind it. Streaks of snow cling to the dark peaks above while warm amber tones spread across the open plains below, creating a striking contrast of color and scale. The stillness of the scene is palpable, a calm and silent world where human presence feels both humble and profound. Photographer Alexander Riek captures the raw soul of Iceland with a steady and poetic eye, finding beauty in the tension between the ancient and the intimate.

Based in Germany, Alexander Riek is a photographer and animal scientist who travels globally. He captures the unique stories of destinations worldwide, focusing primarily on landscapes, architecture and wildlife.
