As the sun melts into the Aegean Sea, the whitewashed villages of Oia cascade down the volcanic cliffs of Santorini in a warm glow of golden and amber light. Domed rooftops, winding staircases and the iconic windmills are bathed in the last rays of sunset, while the deep blue water stretches endlessly into the horizon. Photographer Michael Abid captures this iconic Greek island at its most magical hour, where architecture, light and landscape merge into something quietly breathtaking.
Originally from Ukraine and based in Germany, Michael Abid became a professional photographer in 2013. He travels globally capturing striking cityscapes, landscapes and architecture. Using engineering precision, he beautifully transforms iconic locations through light.
