A solitary oak stands in quiet vigil over a mist-draped Estonian field, its full green canopy catching the last cool light of a northern summer night. Tractor tracks curve gently through the lush grass, drawing the eye toward the tree as layers of fog soften the distant treeline into a wash of blue and grey. This is the mood of Estonia's white nights rendered in perfect stillness, where the boundary between dusk and dawn dissolves into something almost dreamlike. Photographer Kaido Haagen captures the calm and silence of the Estonian landscape with a patient eye, finding poetry in the unhurried hours when the world holds its breath.
Originally from Estonia, Kaido Haagen is a photographer with over 30 years of experience. He travels globally capturing architecture, travel landscapes and the underwater world. Featured in major exhibitions and books, his award-winning work stands out for its clarity and mastery of light.
