A wooden jetty sits in perfect silhouette against the glassy stillness of a lake near Amstelveen, its reflection mirrored so precisely in the water that the boundary between surface and sky almost disappears. The horizon glows with a warm gradient of amber and rose, fading gently downward into soft lavender as the last light of day settles over the Dutch landscape. Every element — the dark treeline, the motionless water and the solitary structure — contributes to a mood of profound calm and silence.
