Friendly Turtle

The Look measures 12.6 x 12.6 cm and can be hung on the wall or stood up.

It is a photograph behind 3 mm clear acrylic on an MDF block of 110 x 110 x 22 mm. The country is engraved on the side; the photographer, the title and the country are on the back.

The Wrapp is a 0.8 mm silicone frame that clicks around it. Together, a Wrapped Look measures 126 x 126 x 25 mm.

Hand-finished in our Foto Lab in Amstelveen.

A green sea turtle glides just beneath the crystal-clear surface of Hawaiian waters, its ancient face turned directly toward the camera with an almost playful curiosity. The shallow turquoise light dances across its textured shell and flippers while a second turtle is reflected in the mirror-like surface above, doubling the sense of wonder and motion. The vivid blue-green palette and luminous clarity of the water bring an irresistible joy and energy to this intimate encounter with wild nature in the USA. Photographer Sean Davey captures these magnificent creatures with a warmth and immediacy that makes you feel not like an observer but a welcome guest in their world.

With more than 180 magazine covers to his name, Sean Davey is a master of surf and coastal photography, renowned for capturing extraordinary light across the world’s shorelines.
