As the sun dips below the horizon, warm golden light spills across the whitewashed facades and cobblestone lanes of Lagos in Portugal's Algarve region, where a glowing street lamp casts a gentle halo over ornate ironwork and terracotta rooftops. Church towers rise gracefully against a pastel sky of amber and lilac, lending the scene a quiet, almost timeless serenity. Photographer Michael Abid captures this fleeting moment between day and night with an eye for stillness and soul, transforming an evening stroll through the old town into something deeply poetic.
Originally from Ukraine and based in Germany, Michael Abid became a professional photographer in 2013. He travels globally capturing striking cityscapes, landscapes and architecture. Using engineering precision, he beautifully transforms iconic locations through light.
