A still stream winds through the Amsterdamse Bos, its mirror-like surface reflecting a canopy of gnarled branches dressed in vivid spring green while wild garlic carpets the banks in dense clusters of white blossoms. Soft diffused light filters through the woodland, wrapping the entire scene in a luminous glow that feels both intimate and quietly joyful. This corner of the Netherlands holds a kind of secret beauty, where nature thrives in lush abundance just beyond the city's edge. Photographer Thijs Friederich captures this fleeting seasonal moment with a poet's eye, finding perfect symmetry between the world above and its trembling reflection below.
