Nestled into an ancient stone wall in Florence, this warmly lit fruit and vegetable shop glows with neon signs reading "Mauro Frutta Primizie" casting golden and red light across overflowing wooden crates of citrus, grapes, pears and pineapples that spill generously onto the narrow street. The vibrant abundance of color — deep purples, warm oranges and lush greens — fills every corner of the frame, drawing the eye deep into the shop's intimate interior where shelves of jarred goods and wine bottles disappear into a soft blue haze. This is the soul of Italian street life captured in a single doorway, where everyday commerce feels like something timeless and cinematic. Photographer Scott Stulberg finds poetry in the ordinary rhythms of Italy, transforming a humble neighborhood market into a glowing invitation to step inside and linger.
