At the heart of the composition stands the elegant bell tower of Saint Spyridon Church, its deep red dome and ornate clock face rising proudly above the labyrinth of Venetian-era buildings that define the island's UNESCO-listed old town. In the distance, the imposing silhouette of the New Fortress anchors the skyline against the shimmering Ionian Sea, completing a scene that radiates both history and joy. Born in Athens, Greece, Giannis Giannelos became a professional photographer at 18. Having published dozens of photo books spanning cultural heritage and advertising, his true passion remains capturing architecture, geometry and the emotional freedom of nature.
