The dramatic contrast between the glowing limestone columns and the deep storm-laden clouds above gives the scene an atmosphere of mystery and timeless power. Photographer Giannis Giannelos captures the architectural grandeur of Greece with a masterful eye for light and mood, revealing the Acropolis not merely as a ruin but as a living monument still holding dominion over the city it has watched over for millennia.
Born in Athens, Greece, Giannis Giannelos became a professional photographer at 18. Having published dozens of photo books spanning cultural heritage and advertising, his true passion remains capturing architecture, geometry and the emotional freedom of nature.
